The Competitive soccer program is a step up from the rec program.
A tryout is required and playing time in the games isn’t guaranteed.
This is an introduction into competitive soccer and many use it as an introduction to club soccer.

Tryouts and practices are at the Howland Park

The practices Start in July as soon as the tryouts end.

Most games are played on Saturday and Sundays and the Games begin in August and run through October with there being roughly 10 games

Typically during the season there will be 2 practices a week plus 2 games.

Half of the roughly 10 games are at home and the other half are in the tri-county area.

The teams will have the opportunity to play in at least one tournament.

FAQ's

Why does Competitive soccer cost more?

Competitive soccer costs are more than REC because we are required to  hire fully Licensed officials, we also register the players and they are carded players.

What if we register for competitive soccer and don’t make the team?
The HAC will refund the money or refund the difference if you elect to play recreational soccer.

Making the team one year does not guarantee making the team the following year.
